The Course:-
This course is registered by the I.R.C.A. as providing training for individuals in accordance with the I.R.C.A. Scheme for Registration of Auditors of Quality Management Systems seeking to operate with independent assessment bodies and satisfies the IRCA/IATCA requirements for Auditor/Lead Auditor Training to ISO 9001:2000 (IRCA/2245/07/2, April 2007.)
Who should attend:-
Those anxious to qualify as external auditors and anyone seeking detailed understanding of Quality Management Systems to the new ISO 9001:2000 standard and their implementation. It is recommended that delegates have a basic knowledge of the standard.
Content:-
The course deals in detail with Quality Management philosophy, the requirements of the latest version of the International Standard for Quality Management, ISO 9001:2000, the structure and implementation of Quality Management Systems satisfying the requirements of the Standard and the techniques for auditing such systems.
Emphasis is placed upon the Process Approach and delegates are coached in the detailed requirements of ISO 9001:2000 and also ISO 9000:2000 and reference is made to the guidance document for improvement, ISO 9004:2000.
On satisfactory completion of the course, including continuous assessment, students who pass the examination receive an Internationally recognised certificate.

5 days (normally residential) at a Cost of £775 +

Course structure:-
The course is structured to provide both theoretical (background) training in the philosophy and purpose of Quality Management Systems together with a detailed appreciation of the requirements of the International Standard along with extensive practical exercises aimed at providing experience of the techniques involved in undertaking actual audits.
The course is intensive and syndicate work is utilised to provide the opportunity to develop team working and to simulate the stresses experienced during live auditing.
Numerous case-studies are examined in relation to audit findings as the basis for developing report-writing skills and to prepare students for the written examination undertaken at the end of the course.
