The Course:-

     This is an introductory course for those wishing to gain an insight into the techniques
     of data collection and analysis, as required by ISO 9001:2000, and provides an
     introduction to Statistical Process Control, the use of  numerical data for Process Control.

Who should attend:-

     Quality Management personnel who need to use information gained from monitoring
     and measuring process performance to identify opportunities for continual improvement.

     All personnel who have to handle numerical data in manufacturing, inspection, testing
     and general quality activities.

Pre-requisities:-

     No previous knowledge of the subject is necessary but participants should have a
     good grasp of general mathematics.

     The course covers the following aspects:-

          Introduction to S.P.C.            Nature of processes and variability of results
          Data Collection and analysis   Histograms
          Pareto Diagrams                    Graphs
          Sampling                                Control charts
          Management Commitment - company culture - operating environment
          Continual Improvement and Benefits to the organisation
 

Duration:-

     1 day        As an alternative to attending our Training School, the course
